Bauhaus Villa Lemke, a Mies van der Rohe house in Berlin.

After Visiting the Stasi prison, you might feel like taking a walk right after. There is nicer venues around, for example Obersee with a little park and houses from around 1900. Plus one architectural gem, Villa Lemke from 1932, by Bauhaus master architect Mies van der Rohe. It’s small, just beautiful, and was built for a businessman and his wife, later kicked out by the Soviets. Then a Stasi engineer saved the house from demolition. Temporary exhibitions open on afternoons.
